How we spend our day
Each day at noon, Jim faxes the bread order to Jack, a local Cork baker. The bread, specially made for In For Lunch with only the finest ingredients and no preservatives, is then made, cooled, sliced and delivered around midnight.
In the meantime, Robert has selected fresh vegetables and salad items from the local wholesaler. Jim receives the quality meats from local suppliers and Anna then sets about preparing all of them for that night's production.
Each night, once the bread arrives fresh from the bakery, Jean, Mary, Kathy and Blueberry work through the night to add the freshly prepared ingredients to make fresh delicious sandwiches for you later that same day.
Bright and early the next morning, once the shops start to open at 7 a.m., Jim, Robert and Marguerite head out to deliver the sandwiches in our refrigerated vans, as fresh as they can be to where you can get your hungry hands on them.
Because all the ingredients are so fresh and because we make and deliver them so promptly, in sealed packs, we don't need to add preservative gas to our packs as most larger producers do.
IT'S ALWAYS BETTER TO BUY LOCAL.
